Next Generation Giving Project

Info Session: Tues. March 13, 6pm-7pm (Location TBA)

This will be the third NGGP: a cross-class cohort of people under 40 years old who are passionate about social change and interested in developing new skills in fundraising, grantmaking, and community building. NGGP funds the broadest range of grantees – any type of social justice community organizing that fits our base criteria – and therefore sees the most competitive and diverse grantmaking.

NGGP (our pilot Giving Project) began in 2010 as a joint project between Social Justice Fund and Resource Generation.  Resource Generation organizes young people with financial wealth to leverage resources and privilege for social change.  The 2010 Next Generation Giving Project was a huge success – raising $135,000 to grant to 12 inspiring organizations around our region, and creating a community of 18 engaged, educated donor activists. In 2011, a second cohort of 18 young people raised $117,000 to make 10 grants.

Commitment: April 7 – October 9
