Site Visits

FIVE things you can do from here...

  1. GET TRAINED to go on Social Justice Fund NW site visits
  2. SIGN UP for a site visit
  3. Post information about a site visit to the CALENDAR
  4. Submit a site visit REPORT
  5. READ about the groups we’re visiting

1. GET TRAINED! If you have never gone on an Social Justice Fund NW site visit...

  • Please go through a do-it-yourself training by downloading our five-page SITE VISITOR TRAINING. It is important that you understand these guidelines, so if you have any questions, feel free to contact the grantmaking staff using our online contact form.
  • After you've read the guidelines carefully, email us to let us know that you've completed the training. This will inform grantmaking staff that you are officially eligible to participate in site visits. Now you're ready to SIGN UP!

2. SIGN UP! To create an account and get started...

  • Hit Login and click "New Account" at the top of the page.
  • Create your username and password, fill in the blanks, and hit "Submit." You now have an account!
  • Use your username and password to log in.
  • Browse the calendar and click on the site visit you'd like to attend.
  • Click "attend this event" to sign up.
  • Click the "ok" button to indicate that you have no conflict of interest.
  • Close the display box. You are now signed up to attend that site visit!
  • Social Justice Fund NW staff will mail you a copy of the proposal, and the site visit leader will contact you shortly.
  • If you don't find the site visit you're looking for, it means we have not scheduled it yet. Please be patient, and remember to keep checking back to make sure you don't miss it!
  • IMPORTANT! New travel reimbursement policy: Due to limited resources, we can only reimburse for travel if a member requests and receives advance approval from staff. As a general rule we will first seek site visitors who live in the geographic area where the site visit will take place (e.g., a member in Wyoming to visit an applicant in Wyoming). If there are not enough site visitors in that area, then we will seek other members to participate. We will only approve travel reimbursement for those members who do not have the ability to cover the expenses themselves. More about travel reimbursement for Social Justice Fund NW site visits.
